Andrew's Site

Adobe Portfolio Site

August 29, 2023

I’ve created an Adobe Portfolio Site. Nothing particularly special, just some photos I’ve taken over the years. You can see it at photos.andrewnorman.uk.

If you want to do similar, it’s fairly trivial to setup. If, like me, you’re running your domain in AWS, then to set it up you just need to create two records, not four as Portfolio seem to suggest. Setup the first with the subdomain that you want, and then add a www subdomain. E.g.

photos.andrewnorman.uk A <IP1 IP2>
www.photos.andrewnorman.uk A <IP1 IP2>

IPs are new line separated in the Route53 UI.

Adobe won’t let you apply the changes until whatsmydns.net says that your record has propagated everywhere. Make sure you include the www. record, otherwise Adobe won’t let you apply it either.
